Arjuna (Terminalia arjuna (Roxb) tree bark is made to fine powder and it is known to be one of the best cardio protective drugs in Ayurveda. One pinch of Arjuna churna (powder of bark of Arjuna tree) is effective cardio protector in avians. Being herbal products it has no adverse drug reactions and completely safe to administer. During Diwali birds are scared of noisy crackers, a precautionary measure to avoid bird being stressed out that can result in tachycardia and sometime prove fatal due to cardiac arrest. With sudden loud noise at night bird can be scared extremely as it is not accustomed to the sudden loud noise, this can be prevented with administering a pinch of Arjuna churna per bird 3 days prior and after Diwali. This may also be applicable after or during any stressful conditions or after transportation of the birds in captivity.
