Quaker parrot paradise at Shuka vana-10th Aug 2016

Quaker Parrot or Monk Parakeet is a small, bright-green parrot with a greyish breast and greenish-yellow abdomen, native to temperate to sub-tropical areas of Argentina and the surrounding countries in South America. In aviculture there are many colour mutations to name few are albino, cobalt blue, blue, lutino, cinnamon and pied quaker parrot. Today an exclusive ‘Quaker Parrot Aviary’ is inaugurated to host around 100 quakers at Shuka vana. This aviary provides good ventilation, space to fly, interact and toys to play, wooden perches and nest boxes at different level to keep themselves cosy during winters or may be used for breeding as per requirement. Aviary is designed so that birds can enjoy Sun bath and also being drenched in rain. Thus Quakers from today have their exclusive paradise at Shuka vana the ‘Quaker Parrot Aviary’.
